Animal Control & Shelter
The Animal Rescue Office’s purpose is to help and rescue animals throughout the city.

Building Permits & Inspections
The Building Permits and Inspections Department plays a key role in protecting the health and safety of the community. The department is comprised of three divisions: safety & building, code enforcement, and health inspection.

City Cemetery
The Donna City Cemetery consists of approximately 11 acres. This Historical Cemetery has been open since 1910 and plots are no longer available.

City Manager
The duties of the City Manager are to oversee the day to day activities and direct the city staff in order to fulfill the objectives of our City Council.

City Secretary
The City Secretary is an officer of the City, appointed by the City Manager. The position of City Secretary is a statutory position required by State law and the City Charter.

Donna Museum
Donna Hooks Fletcher, for whom this town of Donna was named after in 1904. City got incorporated in 1911. She lived to the age of 90 yrs. Died in 1969. First postmaster women, made her owned butter which she named “ Melrose”. Had her own Almeda ranch where she raised jersey cattle.

Economic Development
The purposes of the Donna Economic Development Corporation ("4A") and the Development Corporation of Donna (“4B”) are to pursue all avenues of growth for new and existing businesses, and to maximize employment opportunities, tax base, and quality of life in the City.

Emergency Management
In Texas, Mayors and County Judges have responsibility for emergency preparedness and response within their local jurisdictions. These officials may appoint an Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) to manage day-to-day program activities.

Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for all financial records and transactions for the City of Donna.

Fire
The City of Donna Fire Department (CODFD) is dedicated to protecting the life and property of its citizens. The CODFD is located in the middle of the City to allow for a quick response time to any area of Donna.

Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for providing the infrastructure for automation.

International Bridge
The crossing connects Donna with Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas. Being located in a non-congested area of the border, the crossing allows for the fastest travel to and from Mexico.

Library
The Donna Public Library provides a broad range of resources for our patrons including books, videos, DVDs and computer access. An online public access catalog is available as well as other licensed databases.

Municipal Court
The Donna Municipal Court is dedicated to providing justice that is unbiased and effective in the prevention of future violations of criminal law, traffic, city ordinance, state code, juvenile and parking.

Municipal Pool
Cool down from the Valley heat and visit the Donna Municipal Pool located at the southeast corner of 3rd Street and Silver Avenue.

Parks
The Parks Department has the duties of maintaining the city parks to allow the citizens of Donna to enjoy an outdoor experience full of culture and recreation in a safe environment.

Planning
The Planning Department brings together building services, civil engineering, planning and zoning, permit applications, major projects, annexation and records in a way that customers can access information, start new projects, and get projects approved.

The Donna Police Department is dedicated to providing quality police services that enhance public safety and instill confidence in our citizenry. We shall perform our duties with dignity, fairness, and respect for all.

The Public Utility Department's goal is to provide Donna residents with a safe and dependable supply.

Public Works
The Public Works Department’s purpose is to develop and maintain the City’s infrastructure, buildings, grounds, vehicular equipment and provide specialized community services such as tree care, alley and drainage maintenance to our growing community.

Storm Water Program
The Lower Rio Grande Valley TPDES Stormwater Management Task Force is a joint program between various municipalities all across the Rio Grande Valley to educate and improve how cities and civil engineers plan for stormwater management.
