2018 National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 7th, neighborhoods throughout the city of Donna are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 35th Annual National Night Out, sponsored locally by the Donna Police Department and Donna Crime Stoppers. We will be hosting our local National Night Out event from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Donna Recreation Center, located at 307 Miller Ave.

There will be FREE food, FREE drinks, FREE giveaways, live music by Southern Ashes, and appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog and Air Evac Helicopter.

On behalf of Chief Gilbert Guerrero, we would like to invite your department to join us in support of National Night Out, as we stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity.

There is no monetary fee or sponsorship required from your department to participate in the National Night Out event. All that is asked, is that anything given out at the event be absolutely free of charge to the public attending (i.e. food, beverages, promotional material, etc.). If you are interested in having your department participate in this event or have any questions on how your department can help in participating in this event, please contact Det. Adrian Hooks at (956) 998-9385 or ahooks@cityofdonna.org.

STREET CLOSURE

City of Donna Public Works Department will be repairing N Valley View Rd, between Frontage Rd and Business 83, beginning July 16, 2018. Street repair will take about 10 business days to complete; as weather permits. During construction, motorists will experience major disruption in traffic, temporary restricted street access, as well as an increase in noise and dust level. We appreciate your cooperation and patience, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause.

For any questions or information about the project, contact the Public Works office at 956-464-6960.
