The Director of Utilities is responsible for administrative work directing the operation of both water and wastewater systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Developing plans to meet and serve future residential and commercial growth
- Preparation and implementation of the departmental budget
- Responding to public complaints and requests
- Preparing reports for city council, federal and state agencies
- Preparing professional services contracts as required
- Has knowledge of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) rules and regulations concerning personnel, design, constructions, and permits parameters
